Blather Game Night Host Skill

A small plan before the first clue

Blather Game Night Host Skill is a free, public Markdown instruction file for a host who wants to prepare a word-game gathering with their own AI assistant. It turns a few real inputs into a useful hosting plan rather than taking over the live game.

What you provide

Tell your assistant the participant count, including the host, a choice of one to five rounds, and whether the group is together or remote. Add the real room invitation if you already created one. Rooms support two to six human players.

What the skill asks your assistant to produce

• A turn table: everybody describes once per round, so four people playing two rounds have eight describing turns.
• An invitation using your actual room link, or a clear pre-invitation if the room does not exist yet.
• A three-sentence teaching script explaining limited word-tile clues, typed guesses, reuse of earlier guesses and taking turns.
• A joining and hosting checklist, plus three recap questions about the group's real clues.

How to use it

Open the linked SKILL.md file, read its instructions and use them with your own compatible AI assistant. Supply the requested inputs and check the resulting plan before inviting anyone. The accompanying public repository also contains a hosting checklist, blank recap form and turn-count planner.

The file itself is free; access to your chosen AI provider is separate and may have its own charges. No model, API key or hosted AI service is included. The skill does not create rooms, send messages, read player records, reveal game answers or control a live session.

The game behind the plan

Blather is an independent English browser word party game. One person builds clues from limited word tiles while the other humans type guesses. Two players cooperate; groups of three to six have individual scores. Guests join by room invitation and nickname without separate player accounts or installation. The game itself does not require an LLM.
